Casa Julian de Tolosa

Located in Madrid´s city centre, in the historic quarter of Madrid de los Austrias, Julián de Tolosa was inaugurated on the day of San Fermín (the 7th of July), 1989.

The restaurant´s refined architecture was done by Jose Carlos Goyeneche wich perfectly combines the ambience of a classic Spanish charhouse with the touch of class and comfort that makes this establishment the perfect place to satisfy one’s taste buds.

Headchef Mikel Gorrochategui , presents his clients with a wide variety that ranges from the char-grilled, t-bone steak with red peppers, to the masterfully prepared monk fish or the lightly breaded hake fish. To accompany any of these items, the menu offers the inevitable red kidney beans from Tolosa and also the renowned thick white asparagus, among others.

A vast and varied wine selection aims to please the most exquisite palates, no matter how selective they may be.

At the head of house, Angela Halty, (wife of one of the owners), goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that each customer walks in feeling welcomed and leaves satisfied and wanting to come back.
